You will need this to start:
* A Dedicated Server or VPS
And you should have this before you continue:
* Free OS-RELOAD
* Free POWER CYCLE (REBOOT)

Remote DNS Hosting:
Reason to use remote dns hosting:
* One less service to maintain (Bind9 etc.)
* Failover solutions
* Generally more flexibility

Password Policy:
Follow these guidelines and you should have a good policy:
* Different password on each user
* Dont use wordlist words
* Mix letters and numbers
* Use both capital LETTERS and “small” letters
* 12+ Letters/Numbers on all users.
* Store the usernames/password in a safe place like KeePass (It also generates passwords)
* Use Anti Virus Software on all your clients.. I recommend AVG Free or NOD 32. Last costs money.. my favorite
